Going surfing?

Believe it or not, but there's more to the Internet than this brilliantly crafted site (you can thank Colligan.com for the brilliantly crafted bit, by the way). Here are some links to friends, family and sites that either tickle my fancy or are what I consider useful for one reason or another. Fancy having your site placed here? Drop me a line and I'll think about it...

Family
Purple-Butterfly.co.uk - my mother's very own online store. If you're looking for card embellishments and other hand-made goodies, look no further.
Curly-girly.co.uk - my gorgeous wife Toni's personal web site. Click here for her new online shop, specialising in encaustic art and handmade jewellery.
Tiger Talk - when we go on holiday, Toni likes to let everyone know what we're up to. Does that sound slightly dodgy? Good.

Friends
Cavan Scott - my great mate Cav is famous for writing Doctor Who audio plays as well as holding down a full-time job as editor of a bunch of kid's magazines. Of course he's in his element...
The Biltons - we go back a long way, Martin and I. Almost as far as China. Or was it Lancaster University? I can never remember. Anyway, this is his tech-friendly site.
Joe Cassels - Joe is an IT writer just like me, and now (poor fellow) we're reasonably close neighbours - if adjacent towns counts as being neighbours of course. Joe and I are halfway to world domination with our site SupportPCs.
Dan DiNicolo - the link will take you to Dan's own little page on his not-so-little Web site called PC Trainers.
Steve Jalim - Steve's another good mate who freelances in the tech sphere for a living, although his hope is to become a screenwriter. You can keep up with his quest by checking out his blog.

Magazines
Tell you what, why don't you pop over to the Professional section of the site? You'll find more than enough links to magazines there...

Highlander
Is it the greatest TV show of all time? Probably not, but I love it to bits anyway. Aside from my fabulous (if you don't get the irony now you never will) site opposite, here are some more resources you may or may not find useful.
The Highlander A-Z - it's my fan site! However did it get to the top of the list?

Blogs
We're all at it, and here are some blogs that are well worth reading. Especially if you like actors-turned-writers, guitar gods from Queen, and a bunch of Birmingham City supporters
Bri's Soapbox - Brian May's very own blog. I used to hate Queen with a passion - I was traumatised as a three year-old when Bohemian Rhapsody was at number one for nine weeks and that scary video was played on Top of the Pops. Thankfully I saw the light and now count Queen among my top three all-time favourite acts...
Wil Wheaton.net - Probably best known for his Wesley Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Wil Wheaton has shaken off that monkey to become an accomplished writer, family man and happy-go-lucky geek. A bit like me in fact, except you can drop the actor bits. Okay, drop the "accomplished" bit too, but I have two cats who look up to me, so 'family man' definitely stays.
The CavBlog - it's that Cavan Scott again, this time writing in his blog! Whatever next?
Danny Grabham - there is a blog in there somewhere, but I've picked the link to all the photos Danny G took for the aforementioned Cav's stag night. I am in some of the pictures - I was there after all and it would have been rude not to.
Kwacky's Konfessional - one of the benefits of working from home is that you eventually start to lose all social graces and friends from the real world. Thank goodness, then, for the Internet, and people like Kwacky (real name: Legal Bluenose)...
The Bacchanalia - another good friend, who we'll call Momus because that's his pseudonym on the blog (real name Theo T Wildebeest, 14 The Harrows, Milton Keynes).

Misc
Indulging my ego while surfing Google for "Nick Peers" I came across this electronic reproduction of a review I wrote for Amiga Format way back in the mists of time (October 1995)

Worth a visit

Cavan Scott
Home of my very good friend who coincidentally is also called Cavan Scott. He edits BBC Mindgames magazine and lives and works in Bristol (pronounced Bristle).

The
Highlander A-Z

One day someone might pay to go in this space. In the meantime, it's a gratuitous plug for my Highlander TV series fan site.
